ASEAN Quest

ASEAN Foundation Holds Game Event in Baguio City 

The ASEAN Foundation, in cooperation with the ASEAN+3 Node of International Open Source Network (IOSN), and University of BAguio, will be holding the ASEAN Quest Competition on January 18,  2010 at the University of Baguio. 

The ASEAN Quest is a computer video game that provides information about ASEAN as a regional organization and the ten ASEAN member countries.  The game aims to:

  •    increase awareness of ASEAN and its activities;·         

  • make available information on the history, cultures and values of ASEAN member countries and its peoples; and
  • capture the interest of the people, particularly the young, to learn more about ASEAN, how it evolved, what it is doing, and where will it lead.
The competition is open to fourth year high school students in the Northern Luzon Region.  Each school can send one team composed of two members.  

To register, the school should send a letter signifying its intention to join the competition and endorsing two fourth year high school students to represent the school on or before January 13, 2010.  The school should also provide the following:
  • Name of School
  • Address of School
  • Contact Number of the School
  • Contact Person with his/her contact number and email address

The organizers will provide snacks and lunch for the contestants during the competition.  In addition, the actual transportation (by bus only) will be reimbursed to contestants who can present official receipts.

Cash prizes and trophies will be awarded to the top three teams.
